Job summary

Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is seeking a Development Officer to coordinate inclusive cricket programmes across Bradford and surrounding areas. You will work with schools, clubs and community partners to grow participation, ensure safety and uphold governance and equity across delivery.

Reporting to the Development Manager, you will gather insights, support planning and contribute to funding reports, while mentoring volunteers and activators to raise delivery quality and impact.

Qualifications

• ECB Foundation / Core Coach (Level 1) qualification is required.
• Minimum 1 year delivering cricket or sport programmes in clubs, schools or communities.
• Experience with club/league or community sport development and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to engage, inspire and retain participants from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organisation, planning and communication skills; ability to work with partners.
• Experience monitoring and reporting against KPIs, funding or participation targets.
• Savholding safeguarding, inclusion and health & safety best practices; awareness of EDI.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, inclusive cricket activity locally across clubs, schools and communities.
• Support the Development Manager with planning, evaluation and impact reporting.
• Collaborate with clubs, leagues and partners to grow participation and sustainability.
• Promote equity, safeguarding, inclusion and governance across delivery.
• Provide feedback to inform planning, funding reports and continuous improvement.
• Mentor activators, volunteers, clubs and coaches to improve quality and consistency.
