Job summary

Devon Cricket Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic Early Engagement and Development Lead to run EEP and YDC for boys and girls across Devon. The role combines coaching with programme management, ensuring inclusive, development-led activities and strong welfare standards.

You will report to the Head of Junior Pathway and work across evenings and weekends, with DBS checks and safeguarding training obligatory before starting duties.

Qualifications

• Essential coaching qualifications and experience in youth development.
• Experience leading or coordinating a player development programme.
• Experience planning winter coaching and summer match-play programmes.
• Experience of observation, selection, feedback and progression.
• Experience with administration, planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EEP and YDC programmes for boys and girls.
• Oversee observation, selection and progression across programmes.
• Deliver high-quality coaching and provide programme leadership.
• Recruit and support coaches, managers and sessional staff.
• Communicate clearly with players, parents, clubs and schools.
• Maintain records for attendance, consent, medical information and staffing.
• Evaluate programme impact using data and feedback.
