Job summary

Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is seeking a Cricket Development Officer to cover the Wakefield region. The role will deliver high-quality, inclusive cricket programmes across schools, clubs, leagues and communities, in line with the area delivery plan.

You will work with the Development Manager to plan, evaluate and report on activity, ensuring safeguarding, inclusion and health-and-safety standards are met while building strong partnerships with clubs and schools.

Qualifications

• ECB Foundation / Core Coach (Level 1) qualification or higher.
• Minimum 1 year’s experience delivering cricket or sport programmes.
• Experience in club and league or community sport development with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to engage, inspire and retain participants from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organisation, planning and communication skills.
• Experience monitoring KPIs, funding or participation targets.
• Understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inclusive cricket activity locally that grows participation across programmes.
• Support the Development Manager with planning and evaluation.
• Collaborate with clubs, leagues and community partners to thrive as part of a joined‑up Yorkshire Cricket network.
• Champion local delivery excellence aligned with county‑wide priorities.
• Provide local insight and feedback to inform planning, impact reporting and continuous improvement.
• Embed equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding across all delivery.
