Job summary

Page Personnel is partnering with a large accountancy firm in Worthing to recruit a Bookkeeper. You will maintain accurate records, prepare monthly management accounts, process invoices, and support the accounting team to ensure timely, compliant financial reporting.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (practice-based preferred), familiarity with Xero and QuickBooks, and AAT qualifications or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping for an accountancy practice (2+ years).
• Experience of XERO and Quickbooks is preferable.
• AAT qualified or part-qualified or qualified by experience.
• Solid understanding of financial principles and VAT regulations.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly Management Accounts.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
• Generate financial reports for management review.
• Handle queries related to accounts and financial transactions.
• Support the Accounting & Finance team with administrative tasks.
• Ensure financial data is kept secure and confidential.
