Job summary

X Accounts Ltd is a newly established accounting and advisory firm based in London, seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to support our growing team. You will maintain financial records, perform daily bookkeeping tasks, and assist with VAT returns.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and is proficient in UK accounting practices and software. We offer a competitive salary, skilled worker visa sponsorship, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and take direction from senior staff.
• Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for clients using accounting software.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns according to HMRC requirements.
• Process supplier invoices and assist with month-end procedures.

Skills

UK bookkeeping practices and VAT rules

Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero)

Strong Excel and IT skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and methodical approach

Education

Membership with a recognised UK accounting body (AAT or IAB)
