Job summary

Monahans, part of Sumer, is seeking a motivated Trainee Bookkeeper to join our Early Careers team in Trowbridge. No prior bookkeeping or accountancy experience is required, and we will support you as you learn on the job.

You will gain hands-on experience while studying toward AAT Level 3 or Level 4, with structured study support to help you build a career in accountancy. Strong attention to detail and a positive mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
• Process invoices and financial transactions
• Support bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with VAT returns and management information
• Learn and work with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Develop a strong understanding of accounting principles and client services

At Monahans, part of Sumer, we're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Bookkeeper to join our team. No previous bookkeeping or accountancy experience is required. We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

We'll support you in gaining your professional qualifications through AAT Level 3 or Level 4, providing hands‑on experience alongside structured study support to help you build a successful career in accountancy.

Key Responsibilities

What you'll do
