Job summary

Monahans, part of Sumer, is hiring a Trainee Bookkeeper in Swindon. This Early Careers role is ideal for those starting out in accountancy, with no prior bookkeeping or accountancy experience required and a positive attitude.

You'll gain hands-on experience and structured study support to achieve AAT Level 3 or Level 4 while working with cloud-based software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks. Join a team that values learning, attention to detail and proactive initiative across varied client

At Monahans, part of Sumer, we're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Bookkeeper to join our team. No previous bookkeeping or accountancy experience is required. We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

We'll support you in gaining your professional qualifications through AAT Level 3 or Level 4, providing hands‑on experience alongside structured study support to help you build a successful career in accountancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
• Process invoices and financial transactions
• Support bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with VAT returns and management information
• Learn and work with cloud‑based accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Develop a strong understanding of accounting principles and client servics

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
