CMR Jobs Limited is seeking a diligent Bookkeeper for a long-established Cheshire-based Chartered Accountants practice. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping and VAT for your own portfolio of SME clients, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.

You will work with cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Sage, alongside Excel, to maintain ledgers, perform reconciliations and respond to client queries with clarity and professionalism.

Qualifikationen

• Proven bookkeeping and VAT experience across multiple clients.
• Experience with Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Experience using cloud accounting systems (Xero/QuickBooks/FreeAgent/Sage).
• Strong organisation and ability to manage deadlines.
• Excellent client communication and query resolution.

Aufgaben

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients.
• Process and code sales and purchase transactions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare VAT workings and VAT returns.
• Maintain accurate ledgers and client records.
• Communicate with clients by phone and email.
• Work with Portfolio Managers and colleagues across departments.
• Meet multiple deadlines in a busy practice environment.
• Use cloud accounting systems and Excel.
