Job summary

You'll manage year-end accounts, VAT, management accounts and tax returns, maintaining strong client relationships and acting as the main contact.

The role involves direct client contact, using cloud software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks, with a clear path for progression within the practice.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
• Confident preparing accounts for SME clients.
• Good working knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping.
• AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified.
• Personable, organised and enjoys working directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for SME clients (limited companies, sole traders, partnerships).
• Producing VAT returns, management accounts and tax returns.
• Managing your own portfolio and main client contact.
• Supporting clients with cloud software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• Answering client queries and providing day-to-day advice.
• Working with the wider team to deliver a great service.
