Job summary

CMR Jobs Limited is working with a growing accountancy practice in Greater Manchester to recruit a Client Accountant. You will manage your own SME client portfolio and handle year-end accounts, VAT, management accounts and tax returns.

The role offers extensive client contact and opportunities to develop and progress, with support for cloud software like Xero, Sage and QuickBooks, and close collaboration with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing accounts for SME clients.
• Solid VAT and bookkeeping knowledge.
• AAT or ACCA/ACA training or equivalent experience.
• Strong client-facing and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for SME clients.
• Produce VAT returns, management accounts and tax returns.
• Manage your own portfolio and be the main point of contact.
• Support clients with cloud software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• Answer client queries and provide day-to-day advice.
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver a great service.
