You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, ensure records are accurate, up-to-date and compliant, and support with VAT and payroll where required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple client bookkeeping in an accountancy practice.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied portfolio of clients.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
• Processing purchase and sales invoices.
• Recording bank transactions and completing bank reconciliations.
• Processing payments and receipts.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting clients with VAT-related queries.
• Processing payroll where required.
• Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
• Credit control and monitoring outstanding payments.
• Producing management accounts and financial reports.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures.
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Working closely with accountants and other members of the practice team.
• Ensuring bookkeeping is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Using accounting software to maintain client records and process transactions.
