Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy on Sage.
  • Processing and reconciling all monthly expenses.
  • Submitting VAT returns.
  • Recording all customer transactions accurately.

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys working with SMEs? Are you detail-oriented and proactive in ensuring smooth account functions? Are you seeking a part-time role to improve work-life balance? If so, please get in touch today.

This established and growing business is looking to add a part-time (30 hours/week) Bookkeeper to their finance team. You will play a proactive role in the business's success by providing daily financial support to the MD and owner. Working with a Head of Finance and a Credit Controller, the Bookkeeper will bring experience and high standards to this SME.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy on Sage
  • Processing and reconciling all monthly expenses
  • Submitting VAT returns
  • Recording all customer transactions accurately

Skills and Qualifications:

  • AAT qualification preferred but not essential (QBE considered)
  • Good knowledge of statutory responsibilities, deadlines, and compliance
  • Proficiency in Excel, Sage, and Xero
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

This is a 30-hour/week office-based role, offering an annual salary of up to £32,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience.
