Our services include: Creative Services, Paid Media, SEO, Paid Social, PPC, Social Media Management, Website Development, and SEO. We predominantly specialise in serving the Hospitality and eCommerce industries.

We are looking for a part-time, UK-based (ideally London, Hertfordshire, or Manchester) bookkeeper who understands online marketing, is proactive, loves communicating with people, and is proficient with numbers. As our virtual Bookkeeper, you will be essential in maintaining our financial operations. You should be detail-oriented, organised, and experienced with bookkeeping software. You take initiative, prioritize effectively, and can meet deadlines regularly.

You are expected to come into the London office weekly or bi-weekly.
Your duties include:

  1. Reconciling our company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
  2. Using Hubdoc with Xero to record company expenses and receipts.
  3. Managing financial and accounting software used by our company, primarily Xero.
  4. Processing payments for employees and independent contractors.
  5. Completing the month-end close-out process and providing financial reports to clients after review.
  6. Managing income and expenditure accounts.
  7. Documenting transaction details accurately.
  8. Generating financial reports such as financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
  9. Monitoring the company’s finances and informing senior staff of significant updates or changes promptly.
  10. Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations; providing tax planning and deduction advice.
  11. Fact-checking accounting data and notifying senior staff of any errors.
  12. Researching, troubleshooting, and resolving any technical system glitches.
  13. Using online tools like Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom effectively.
  14. Communicating with clients via email using a company email address.
  15. Collaborating with the team through email and Slack throughout the week.
  16. Reviewing cash flow updates.
  17. Supporting weekly analysis of staff utilisation versus project and retainer fees.

What we look for in a candidate:

  1. Trustworthiness, honesty, open communication, and flexible availability.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus.
  3. At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping for small businesses; virtual workspace experience is preferred.
  4. Deep understanding of accounting principles and industry best practices.
  5. High accuracy, strong attention to detail.
  6. Ability to communicate complex data clearly.
  7. Exceptional organisational skills.
