Tailored Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing business in Leeds to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly management reports for the Board
- Managing purchase ledger payment runs
- Handling intercompany invoicing and payments
- Reconciling sales invoices monthly and supporting the fee process
- Managing all banking tasks, including bank reconciliations
- Ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance and filings (VAT, Corporation Tax)
- Processing payroll for 3 companies using Sage Payroll
- Posting payroll and tax journals accurately and recording liabilities
- Administering trustee pension scheme, including payroll for retirees and other payments
- Collaborating with a purchase ledger assistant and providing support as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or finance officer in a similar organization
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Finance or accounting qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous
