Job summary

An established accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper. You will work closely with a key client, maintaining ledgers and preparing financial returns. The role includes on-site work in Poole two days a week and three days in the Ringwood office. Ideal candidates will have prior bookkeeping experience and knowledge of cloud accounting software. Competitive salary of £25,000 to £28,000 based on a 35-hour work week.

BOOKEEPER REQUIRED - ESTABLISHED ACCOUNTANCY PRACTICE

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000

Location: 2 days in Poole / 3 days in Ringwood

Responsibilities

The role includes:

• Maintaining ledgers
• VAT returns
• Reviewing financial statements
• Preparing monthly and quarterly returns
• Completing monthly reports for clients
• Account preparation and filing

About the role

We are working with an accountancy practice based in Ringwood, who are looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper who can work closely with a key client and deliver a highly professional accountancy service. The company have a key client based in Poole and provide on-site bookkeeping facilities for them 2 days per week. The successful candidate will work at the client’s premises and then work in the company office in Ringwood for 3 days a week.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with cloud accountancy support, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
• CIS experience (essential)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfort with IT and data inputting

Requirements

• Previous Bookkeeping experience
• AAT Level 2 or 3 or qualified by experience
• Experience in an accountancy practice (preferred)
• Able to drive to clients premises (mileage allowance paid)
