Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Rotherham is hiring a Bond and Compliance Manager to own all customs and excise activities and drive compliance across bonded goods movement.

You’ll lead the bond team, ensure HMRC regulations are met, manage goods-in, stock, and dispatch, and develop robust SOPs to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.

This full-time role offers a structured schedule Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, a strong benefits package, and opportunities to influence processes across the site.

Are you a customs and excise expert with strong HMRC knowledge? Do you thrive on ensuring compliance while driving operational efficiency? Ready to take ownership of bonded operations in a dynamic logistics environment?

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a knowledgeable and driven Bond and Compliance Manager to join our multi-user site in Rotherham. Acting as the site’s subject matter expert, you’ll be responsible for all customs and excise activities, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations while supporting operational excellence across bonded goods movement.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll influence processes, develop teams, and maintain the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and control.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Oversee customs and excise compliance, ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations and approvals
• Manage bonded goods processes including goods-in, stock management, and dispatch
• Lead, coach, and develop the bond team, driving performance and capability
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of excise declarations and reporting
• Drive continuous improvement of SOPs, compliance processes, and operational standards
