Job summary

GXO Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Bond and Compliance Manager to own customs and excise activities and ensure HMRC compliance across bonded goods movement.

This is a key leadership role focused on process improvement, development of the bond team, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and control. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, permanent position.

• Experience working in a duty-suspended/bonded environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customs and excise compliance, ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations and approvals.
• Manage bonded goods processes including goods-in, stock management, and dispatch.
• Lead, coach, and develop the bond team, driving performance and capability.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of excise declarations and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of SOPs, compliance processes, and operational standards.

Are you a customs and excise expert with strong HMRC knowledge? Do you thrive on ensuring compliance while driving operational efficiency? Ready to take ownership of bonded operations in a dynamic logistics environment?

Here at GXO, we're looking for a knowledgeable and driven Bond and Compliance Manager to join our multi-user site in Rotherham. Acting as the site's subject matter expert, you'll be responsible for all customs and excise activities, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations while supporting operational excellence across bonded goods movement.

This is a key leadership role where you'll influence processes, develop teams, and maintain the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and control.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).
