Job summary

GXO is seeking a Bond and Compliance Manager at its Rotherham site to own customs and excise operations, ensuring HMRC compliance while supporting efficient bonded goods movement.

You will lead the bond team, drive SOP improvements, oversee goods-in, stock, and dispatch, and ensure timely excise declarations and reporting. This full-time role offers a strong benefits package and opportunities to influence end-to-end compliance across complex logistics.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of HMRC excise legislation and customs procedures.
• Proven experience in a duty-suspended/bonded environment.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customs and excise compliance, ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations and approvals.
• Manage bonded goods processes including goods-in, stock management, and dispatch.
• Lead, coach, and develop the bond team, driving performance and capability.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of excise declarations and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of SOPs, compliance processes, and operational standards.
