Job summary

Confidential, a manufacturing company, is recruiting for a BOM Administrator who will create and maintain accurate bills of materials for manufacturing and after-sales within project and production timescales. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, well organized, and able to work under pressure with keen attention to detail.

The Product Development team generates and maintains engineering drawings and BOMs; hundreds of drawings are created, modified, and issued weekly.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSE or equivalent in English & Math; ONC/HNC preferable.
• Data management training would be an advantage.
• Familiar with BOM and database tools and techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering BOMs with Product Engineer for each model.
• Identify safety-critical and Type Approved components on BOMs/databases.
• Assist Project Manager by compiling KPI data for project progress.
• Create/maintain bills of materials for new products.
• Assess cost, weight, and complexity for new models.
• Liaise with project team to resolve delivery issues.
• Use tools/techniques to maximise efficiency and quality of output.
• Link and update parts with latest data and images in databases.
• Support Technical Support with information for customers/dealers.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements.
