Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd seeks a motivated BOM Administrator to create and maintain accurate bills of materials for manufacturing and after-sales within project timelines. The role demands strong organisation, precision, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

You will join the Product Development team, contributing to hundreds of BOMs and drawings weekly, and ensure data integrity across BOM databases along with health & safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths, with a high standard of further education (ONC or HNC level preferable).
• Data Management qualification or training would be an advantage.
• Familiar with BOM and database tools techniques.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word etc).
• Ability to work under minimum supervision; strong problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop an engineering BOM for each model with the Product Engineer and provide technical support to the rest of the company.
• Ensure Safety critical and Type Approval components are identified on databases and BOMs.
• Assist the Project Manager and BOM Team Leader by compiling KPI's and critical data.
• Create and maintain bills of material with the Product Engineer for new products.
• Assess cost, weight and complexity of new models and refine data during product execution.
• Liaise with project team to resolve process and delivery issues.
• Adopt best practice tools and techniques for project information work to maximise efficiency and output.
• Link and update parts for After-sales and IDOL databases with latest data and images.
• Support the D&D Technical Support Team with information for customers and dealers when requested.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements.
