Job summary

Slim Chickens Nottingham is seeking a Back of House Supervisor to lead the kitchen team, oversee food preparation and ensure safety and consistency. You’ll mentor staff, manage inventory, and collaborate with Front of House to deliver seamless service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Supervisory role experience in a kitchen or fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and ability to inspire a team.

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Overseeing all back-of-house operations to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation
Leading, mentoring, and motivating the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Managing inventory, monitoring food stock, and ensuring timely ordering of supplies
Collaborating with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure seamless service
Handling kitchen-related issues and resolving them promptly to maintain smooth operations
Supporting staff training and development to uphold our brand’s high standards
Creating a positive, productive work environment where the kitchen team can thrive

What You’ll Be Doing

Overseeing all back-of-house operations to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation

Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
