Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking a skilled Bodyshop Controller for a leading collision repair centre in Blackpool. You will oversee day-to-day workshop operations, coordinate repairs, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

This role offers Monday–Friday hours, a generous holiday allowance, and opportunities to lead a team of 18 staff within a modern, accredited facility that upholds BS10125 standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bodyshop Workshop Controller or similar.
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Experience with garage management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage workshop workflow to ensure efficient repairs.
• Allocate repairs to technicians by skill and workload.
• Update customers on repair status and maintain service quality.
• Ensure repairs meet BS10125 standards.
• Liaise with insurers, parts suppliers, and clients.
• Oversee all vehicle repairs including accident repairs, dent removal, and wheel alignment.
• Maintain documentation, invoicing, and repair reports.
• Ensure health and safety policies in the workshop.
• Provide technical guidance and performance feedback to the team.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment.

Our client, part of a renowned global collision repair network, is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Controller to oversee day-to-day workshop operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain high standards of quality.

Duties of the Bodyshop Controller:

• Manage workshop workflow to ensure efficient vehicle repairs and timely completion
• Allocate repair jobs to technicians based on skill, capacity, and workload
• Monitor progress and update customers on repair status, maintaining excellent customer service
• Ensure repairs meet the highest standards, adhering to BS10125 accreditation requirements
• Liaise with insurance companies, parts suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth operations
• Oversee all aspects of vehicle repairs, including accident repairs, paintless dent removal, and wheel alignment
• Maintain accurate documentation, invoicing, and repair reportsEnsure health and safety policies are followed within the workshop
• Support the team with technical guidance and performance management
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment to industry standards

Requirements of the Bodyshop Controller:

• Proven experience as a Bodyshop Workshop Controller or similar role within a collision repair environment
• Responsible for managing collision repair processes and quality standardsStrong organisational and leadership skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• IT proficiency and experience with garage management systems
