Location: Hybrid Working - 3-4 days onsite in Woking, Surrey

Position Type: Rolling contract

About the company:

I am currently recruiting for a high-end, low-volume client specializing in supercars, based in Surrey. They are looking for a Body Structures Engineer with experience in composites and carbon fibre.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and deliver body structure systems to meet design specifications and styling intentions.
2. Support prototype and production build processes.
3. Ensure components and assemblies comply with industry and business standards.
4. Assist in problem-solving during virtual and physical builds.
5. Assess engineering prototypes for issues or risks and mitigate accordingly.
6. Estimate costs and manage budgets for new designs.
7. Represent the department in design reviews and testing activities.
8. Ensure compliance with internal, industry, legislative, and business standards.
9. Coordinate design work to meet deadlines and manufacturing requirements.
10. Design and manufacture of carbon fibre components.
11. Create and manage engineering technical specifications.
12. Experience with OEM DVP&R processes.
13. Implement DFM and DFA principles.
