Body Structures Project Engineer / Launch Engineer, York

Location: Hybrid Working - 3-4 days onsite in Woking, Surrey

Position Type: Rolling contract

About the company:

I am currently recruiting for a high-end, low-volume client specializing in supercars, based in Surrey. They are seeking a body structures engineer with experience in composites and carbon fibre.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver body structures systems to meet design specifications and styling intentions.
• Support prototype and production builds.
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry and business standards.
• Support problem solving during virtual and physical builds.
• Assess prototypes for issues or risks and mitigate accordingly.
• Estimate costs and manage budgets for new designs.
• Represent the department in design reviews and testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with legislative standards and requirements.
• Coordinate design work for timely release and manufacturing input.
• Design and manufacture of carbon fibre components.
• Create and manage engineering technical specifications.
• Experience with OEM DVP&R processes.
• Deliver DFM and DFA.
