Job summary

Vertu BMW Motorrad Sunderland is seeking a skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our modern workshop and help maintain our reputation for exceptional service and technical excellence.

You will carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs on motorcycles, conduct DVSA-aligned inspections, road test units, and ensure documentation is accurately recorded. A relevant qualification and full motorcycle licence are required, with ongoing training and career progression offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Full motorcycle licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Commitment to delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
• MOT licence advantageous but not essential.
• Previous franchise experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on new and used motorcycles.
• Diagnose faults using manufacturer technology and equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work.
• Conduct inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Road test motorcycles and ensure work meets high standards.

Salary: Up to£38,950basic salary plus excellent company benefits

What you'll be doing

As a Motorcycle Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service and technical excellence. Working within our modern workshop, you'll be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on new and used motorcycles.
• Diagnosing faults using the latest manufacturer technology and equipment.
• Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required.
• Conducting inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Road testing motorcycles and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Accurately completing all workshop documentation and job records.
• Working efficiently to achieve productivity targets while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.
• Delivering an outstanding customer experience through high-quality workmanship..

You’ll ideally have:

• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• A full motorcycle licence.
