Job summary

Vertu BMW Motorrad Sunderland is seeking a skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our expanding team in a modern workshop. You will be responsible for servicing, maintenance and repairs on both new and used motorcycles while upholding exceptional customer service and technical standards.

The role requires NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds, a full motorcycle licence, and strong diagnostic skills. An MOT licence is advantageous but not essential, with a £4,000 sign-on opportunity and up to £38,950 base

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds or equivalent is expected.
• A full motorcycle licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Commitment to delivering quality workmanship and customer service.
• MOT licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on new and used motorcycles.
• Diagnose faults using the latest manufacturer technology and equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work.
• Conduct inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Road test motorcycles and ensure work meets high standards.
• Complete workshop documentation and job records accurately.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity targets while ensuring safety and quality.
• Deliver outstanding customer experience through high-quality workmanship.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Motorcycle Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service and technical excellence. Working within our modern workshop, you'll be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on new and used motorcycles.
• Diagnosing faults using the latest manufacturer technology and equipment.
• Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required.
• Conducting inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Road testing motorcycles and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Accurately completing all workshop documentation and job records.
• Working efficiently to achieve productivity targets while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.
• Delivering an outstanding customer experience through high-quality workmanship..

You’ll Ideally Have

• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• A full motorcycle licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A commitment to delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
• An MOT licence (advantageous but not essential).

Previous Franchise Experience Would Be Beneficial But Isn't Essential.
