Job summary

University of Reading, Whiteknights campus, is seeking a Building Management System (BMS) Technical Specialist to join the Campus Operations team within Estates. The post holder will manage day‑to‑day operation, ongoing maintenance and development of the University’s BMS, providing specialist support to Schools and Functions.

Requirements include HVAC and electrical systems knowledge, experience of Schneider Continuum and EcoStruxure, and familiarity with BACnet/Modbus.

Qualifications

• Background in building services and related engineering qualifications.
• Experience with BMS controls and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of Schneider systems and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day operation and ongoing maintenance of the University’s BMS.
• Provide specialist BMS/building services support to Schools and Functions.
• Participate in on-call rota and project work as required.
