Job summary

University of Bath is seeking a Building Controls Supervisor to support the Campus Infrastructure. You will oversee the Building Management System (BMS), provide expert guidance, and lead reactive maintenance to ensure safe, timely completion of planned works.

The role involves collaboration with engineers and managers to sustain building services, reduce downtime, and improve end-user satisfaction. A City & Guilds/NVQ3 apprenticeship in electrical maintenance is required, with on-call duties

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
• Demonstrable post-training experience in maintenance, repair and installation of BMS/automated controls
• Experience working with skilled operatives and contractors
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to electrical services (COSHH, PUWER, Electricity at Work)

Responsibilities

• Manage development and reactive maintenance of the Building Management System (BMS) ensuring safe, timely completion of planned works
• Provide expert guidance and hands-on support to maintain building services and minimize downtime
• Collaborate with workshop supervisors, engineers and managers to ensure end-user satisfaction and efficient operations
