Job summary

ARC (Norwich) Ltd is seeking a BMS Sales Engineer to grow its client base across the BMS and building services market. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with clients, and develop technically suitable, commercially viable solutions.

The role requires a strong technical background in BMS/HVAC/building controls and the commercial confidence to engage with customers. A full UK driving licence is essential, with flexibility around working hours and potential site visits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, estimating or business development position.
• Good understanding of building services and control systems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and translate these into practical solutions.
• Good commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the BMS / building controls market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and presentations to understand requirements and develop suitable solutions.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals and sales documentation.
• Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically suitable and commercially viable.
• Provide technical advice and support throughout the sales process.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop long-term client relationships.
• Keep up to date with developments in BMS, controls, HVAC and associated technologies.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, client activity and project progress.
