Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a BMS Service Engineer to cover London and the South East, providing maintenance and fault-finding across a range of commercial buildings. The role involves diagnosing BMS faults, optimising energy efficiency and delivering reliable building operations.

You will work with leading BMS platforms and liaise with engineering teams to ensure high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a BMS Service Engineer or similar building controls engineering role.
• Strong understanding of BMS maintenance, fault-finding and troubleshooting.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Distech Controls or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HVAC plant, control strategies, sensors, actuators and field devices.
• Experience carrying out planned maintenance and reactive service work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits on BMS installations.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across BMS controllers, software, networks and field devices.
• Maintain and optimise BMS systems to improve reliability, performance and energy efficiency.
• Undertake BMS software modifications, adjustments and system upgrades where required.
• Support customers with technical issues and provide recommendations for system improvements.
• Identify opportunities for remedial works, upgrades and additional service requirements.
• Produce accurate service reports and maintain relevant technical documentation.
• Work closely with internal engineering, projects and account management teams.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health and safety procedures.
