Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a BMS Project Engineer in Belfast to lead technical design and delivery of BMS projects. You will coordinate with CAD, review drawings, and support the project team from design through handover.

The role focuses on BMS/HVAC projects, with opportunities for progression, a company car, bonus, and employee ownership benefits in a well-established UK&I business.

Qualifications

• Experience in BMS and electrical design.
• Knowledge of BMS products such as Trend, Siemens or Tridium.
• Experience with electrical CAD packages (WSCAD, EPLAN, Promis-e or SOLIDWORKS Electrical).
• Experience producing electrical schematics for manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical submittals, submit and review RFIs, and review construction drawings.
• Create BMS network architecture drawings and update design information for the CAD team.
• Check control panel drawings and electrical schematics, issuing drawings for approval.
• Coordinate deliveries of control panels and associated controls.
• Prepare and submit operation and maintenance documentation.
• Support CAD designers and the workshop with technical queries, attending project meetings as required.
• Assist the Project Manager and deputise during periods of absence.
• Primarily office-based, Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:45pm and Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
