Job summary

Vantage Consulting seeks an experienced BMS Project Engineer to oversee and deliver small to medium BMS projects from order to completion. The role blends home working, site visits and office work, with responsibility for engineering, design, commissioning and customer management.

You will join a growing projects team in a building controls business, taking on greater project responsibility and developing within the BEMS industry.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens and/or Trend BMS systems.
• Background in BMS design, control strategies, engineering and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience managing projects, coordinating engineers or supervising subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage single or multiple BMS projects from order through to completion.
• Design, engineer and commission BMS solutions where required.
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, labour requirements and project schedules.
• Manage project budgets, procurement and financial performance.
• Oversee health and safety requirements, including site audits.
• Carry out site surveys to support quotations and system design.
• Liaise with customers, colleagues and contractors throughout project delivery.
• Undertake hands-on BMS engineering activities when project workload allows.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

About You

• Experienced BMS Engineer with strong knowledge of Siemens and/or Trend systems.
• Background in BMS design, control strategies, engineering and commissioning.
• Good understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience managing projects, coordinating engineers or supervising subcontractors.
• Tridium or Delta experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
• Data centre experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
• Strong communication, organisation and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
