Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment Ltd is seeking a BMS Project Engineer to support delivery of Building Management System projects across commercial buildings in the London/South East region. You will work on BMS installations, upgrades and integrations.

This role suits technically focused engineers with hands-on site experience, capable of fault-finding and coordinating with project managers, subcontractors and clients to ensure on-time handover and strong energy performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a BMS Project Engineer or similar.
• Experience with BMS installations, upgrades and integration projects.
• Knowledge of BMS software, controllers, field devices and building automation systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of BMS projects from installation through to commissioning and final handover.
• Carry out BMS software engineering, system configuration and programming in line with project requirements.
• Assist with the integration of BMS controllers, field devices and third‑party building systems.
• Conduct site visits to support installation, testing, fault resolution and commissioning activities.
• Work with project managers, subcontractors and other engineers to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Review project specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure systems are tested, commissioned and handed over in accordance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers where required.

An established building controls and energy management specialist is looking to recruit a BMS Project Engineer to support the delivery of Building Management System projects across a range of commercial buildings.

The business delivers intelligent building solutions designed to improve building performance, operational efficiency and energy consumption. This is an opportunity to join a technically focused team working on BMS installations, upgrades and integration projects, with exposure to a variety of systems and customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of BMS projects from initial installation through to commissioning and final handover.
• Carry out BMS software engineering, system configuration and programming in line with project requirements.
• Assist with the integration of BMS controllers, field devices and third‑party building systems.

Desired Experience

• Previous experience as a BMS Project Engineer, BMS Commissioning Engineer or similar.
• Experience working on BMS installations, upgrades and integration projects.
• Knowledge of BMS software, controllers, field devices and building automation systems.
• Experience with one or more industry platforms, such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Distech Controls or equivalent.
• Understanding of HVAC controls, control strategies and building services.
• Ability to fault‑find, resolve technical issues and work independently on site.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
