Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced BMS Operations Manager in Essex with a hybrid working arrangement. You will oversee day-to-day BMS operational activity, manage resources, and drive process improvements across projects and service delivery.

You’ll sit at the centre of the operation, coordinating engineering teams, customers, and commercial performance while maintaining H&S standards and strong KPI governance.

Qualifications

• Significant BMS/building controls experience.
• Previous operations, service, project or engineering management experience.
• Strong understanding of BMS project delivery and service.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Commercially aware with strong customer management ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day BMS operational activity.
• Manage engineering and operational resources.
• Improve processes, workflow and operational efficiency.
• Monitor project and service delivery.
• Work closely with senior management on business performance.
• Manage internal teams and external subcontractors.
• Support recruitment and workforce planning.
• Monitor KPIs and operational targets.
• Assist with commercial planning and resource forecasting.
• Maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure operational activities meet company standards and H&S requirements.
