SER Limited is seeking an experienced BMS Operations Manager to lead the Projects Division in London with occasional travel to Colchester. The role focuses on delivering BMS projects safely, on time and within budget, while developing teams and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the BMS Projects Division delivering on time and within budget.

• Work closely with senior management to develop operational strategies and growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, profitability and project delivery processes.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning and the development of the Projects Division as the business grows.
• Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, contractual compliance and quality assurance across all projects.

BMS Operations Manager – Projects

Location: London, with occasional travel to Colchester

The Role

My client is looking for an experienced BMS Operations Manager to lead and develop the Projects Division of their business, based in London with occasional travel to their Colchester office.

This is a key leadership position focused on overseeing BMS project delivery, improving operational performance and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and senior leadership to drive efficiency, maintain high standards and support the continued growth of the division.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in BMS projects, project management and operational leadership, with the ability to manage multiple projects, develop teams and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the BMS Projects Division, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Lead, support and develop project managers and wider project delivery teams, promoting accountability and operational excellence.
• Monitor project progress, financial performance, resource allocation and commercial risks across the project portfolio.
• Implement and maintain effective project management processes, governance and reporting procedures.
• Work closely with senior management to develop operational strategies, improve performance and support business growth.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience dealing with clients and senior management.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement and team development.
