Job summary

Talent Finder is partnering with a Leeds-based specialist in control panel design, M&E and BMS to recruit a technically capable Estimator. You will analyse drawings, specifications and tender requirements to deliver accurate quotations for projects from £10k to £500k.

Work closely with the Business Development Director and engineering teams, with potential for progression into senior estimating or management as the function grows. Hybrid/home working available.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within M&E, building services, or controls.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of producing accurate quotations and tender submissions.

Responsibilities

• Review enquiries, specs, drawings to understand project requirements.
• Prepare quotations and tender submissions based on technical info.
• Interpret M&E drawings and building services documents.
• Assess equipment, materials and labour for pricing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal engineering teams.
• Support tender process discussions with customers and stakeholders.
• Assist with sales handovers to delivery teams after wins.
• Maintain records of quotations and tender information.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes.
• Develop knowledge of ISO9001 procedures and company standards.
• Build knowledge of BMS systems and company solutions.
