Job summary

Crucial People is seeking an experienced BMS Electrical Estimator in Watford to produce accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, collaborating with sales, suppliers and contractors, ensuring tenders are compliant and delivered on time.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical specifications and drawings, familiarity with estimating software and MS Office, and the ability to work under pressure while communicating effectively with clients and teams across the UK construction

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical estimating with exposure to BMS.
• Strong understanding of electrical specs, diagrams and drawings.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication with clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
• Comfortable working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on specifications and diagrams.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop competitive tenders.
• Liaise with client representatives, contractors, suppliers and consultants as required.
• Undertake project-specific estimating work per departmental needs.
• Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials and plant.
• Review purchase orders and invoices per procedures.
• Contribute to post-costing reviews of completed projects.
• Attend meetings, training and industry events as needed.
