Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a commissioning engineer for the North East UK to join a team of engineers supporting customers with installing and commissioning building management systems. You will pre‑commission panels, commission controllers and networks, and integrate third‑party systems as part of customer orders.

Role requires electrical engineering background, customer‑facing experience, and the ability to work independently or with project teams.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical engineering or related subject is advantageous.
• Experience in a similar role is beneficial but on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Knowledge of controls concepts for HVAC is desirable.
• Experience working in a customer‑facing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and healthy working environment at office or site locations.
• Pre‑commission control panels and field devices on new or existing systems.
• Commission controllers, networks and field devices into a complete control system.
• Integrate third party systems onto existing systems.
• Write and commission controller software through the Graphical User Interface.
• Hand over and demonstrate the completed system to customer/consultant.
• Design and manage installations with support of Project Managers.
• Maintain relationships with customers to be their trusted expert.
