Job summary

University of Sheffield invites applications for an Academic Tutor in Bioscience and Chemistry, supporting undergraduate courses. Two permanent, full-time positions are available at Grade 6 (£32,080–£38,784 per year) depending on experience.

You will deliver lectures, run tutorials, support lab classes, and undertake assessments and marking. The role offers a research-friendly environment with potential to develop a research profile within the School of Biosciences and Chemistry.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering lectures and tutorials in bioscience/chemistry.
• PhD or near-completion with strong tutoring background is desirable.
• Ability to supervise laboratory practicals and assess student work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and group teaching sessions.
• Support delivery of laboratory practical classes and demonstrations.
• Undertake assessment work and marking as required.
