Job summary

Greater Manchester FE college is seeking a dedicated Chemistry Lecturer to join our team for a temporary period. The role focuses on delivering BTEC and T Level courses in Chemistry for levels 2 and 3, starting 3 September 2026 for approximately 2–4 weeks to cover a staff member on medical leave.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, providing pastoral support, tracking progress, and collaborating with staff to enhance the student experience.

Qualifications

• UK recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/DTLLS/Cert Ed) or equivalent is required.
• Experience delivering BTEC and T Level courses in Chemistry is essential.
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Deliver BTEC and T Level Chemistry lessons to FE students.
• Provide tutorial and pastoral support as needed.
• Monitor student progress and maintain college standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance learning experiences.
• Prepare lesson plans and assess student work.
