Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a hands-on operator for our Bioresource team in Amesbury. You will operate a telehandler, monitor processes with SCADA, and support day-to-day site activities to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a flexible, proactive approach, ability to work both independently and in a team, and a valid UK driving licence. Training in health and safety and sewage handling will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team.
• Valid full UK manual driving licence.
• Be comfortable working with sewage.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in operating our telehandler to ensure efficient processing.
• Monitor and optimise process performance in the field and via SCADA systems.
• Carry out general site activities to keep operations running smoothly.
• Look for ways to improve day-to-day performance and efficiency and raise ideas with the team.
• Keep the site tidy and well-organised.
• Communicate daily with wider teams.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, processes and procedures.
• Promote and uphold health, safety and welfare for all colleagues and visitors.

What you'll do

Every day is different. You will be working in all weather conditions, carrying out a range of tasks, to ensure the essential functions of our Bioresource treatment centre.

Your day-to-day will include:

• taking the lead in operating our telehandler, ensuring we process efficiently
• monitoring and optimising process performance both in the field and using SCADA systems
• carrying out general site activities as required to keep operations running smoothly
• looking for ways to improve day‑to‑day performance and efficiency, raising ideas with the team
• keeping the site tidy and well‑organised
• communicating daily with wider teams
• ensuring full compliance with company policies, processes, and procedures
• promoting and upholding the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, visitors, the public, and yourself at all times.

You will work an 8-hour day Monday to Friday.

Your working hours will includeproviding emergency cover, if required.

What you'll need

Youdon't need a background in the water industry, and we welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.
