Job summary

YTL UK is recruiting for a Supply Sampling role across the Wessex Water region. The job involves taking water quality samples from treatment works, reservoirs and customer properties, and providing regulatory-compliant sampling and analytical services.

You will travel across the region, join a rotating schedule including some bank holidays, weekends, and standby. The role offers learning opportunities in a dynamic environmental industry and development within a diverse group.

Qualifications

• Be prepared to work outdoors and support team colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow sampling procedures.
• Ideally have A levels in English, maths and science (or equivalent).
• Computer literacy with Word and Excel; comfortable using Outlook, GIS apps and SharePoint.

• Deal with complaints professionally and ensure regulatory compliance.

Do you like working outdoors? Do you have the confidence to learn and undertake a range of technical and dynamic work tasks? If so, we have a great opportunity within our Supply Sampling team.

This role will see you travelling across the picturesque Wessex Water region.

What you'll do

We schedule and carry out theregulatorysamplingprogramme for thewater and sewerage services.

In addition, we providesamplingandanalyticalservices to a range of customers includingbusinesses, localauthorities, drinkingwaterproviders andenvironmental consultants.

Thismultifunctionalroleinvolvesregulatorywaterandcryptosporidiumsampling, alongwithvarious surveywork, all of which complywithUKASaccreditationstandards.Theroleoffers a greatopportunityto learn and developyourcareer in this exciting andchallenging industry.

Your main duties will include taking representative water quality samples from a variety of sources, including treatment works, reservoirs and customer properties across your local area, dealing with any complaints in a professional and efficient manner, as well as ensuring we comply with industry regulations and providing our customers with a high-quality service.

You will be required to work a rota which involves working some bank holidays, one weekend in four, and some standby.

What you'll need

Youwill:

A full clean manual driving licence is essential and due to the nature of the work, you would need to be located in the area the role is based in.
