Job summary

Lonza Group seeks an experienced Operations Lead to guide MSAT Pilot Plant activities across Upstream and/or Downstream pilot operations. You will lead a technically proficient team, drive on-time delivery of pilot stages, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and cost controls while collaborating with internal project teams and external partners.

Qualifications

A BSc in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Strong technical experience within Upstream Processing (USP) and/or Downstream Processing (DSP).
Proven pilot-scale expertise with technical leadership across routine and non-routine activities.
End-to-end understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, including process development, tech transfer and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of direct reports with performance management and development.
Plan, prepare and deliver standard and complex pilot stages in collaboration with internal and external project teams.
Maintain oversight of quality, safety, and batch logistics for USP and/or DSP pilot facilities.
Provide technical leadership and influence project discussions across cross-functional stakeholders.
