Qualifications

• Degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline (Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or similar).
• Proven experience in large-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing with upstream and downstream techniques.
• Extensive experience in cGMP-regulated environments (ISO9001/45001/14001).
• Strong leadership, mentoring and cross-functional team management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical team across fermentation, downstream and chromatography to ensure efficient production.
• Investigate deviations, equipment failures and operational challenges; implement corrective actions.
• Drive process scale-up, characterisation and optimisation; support new product transfers from R&D.
• Monitor performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma or Operational Excellence.
• Support routine manufacturing operations, oversee validation activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
