The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with additional out-of-hours commitments.
We invite applications from enthusiastic and motivated candidates for the full-time position within the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (H&I) Laboratory, located at Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow. The laboratory supports several clinical programs including:
The successful applicant will perform molecular biology techniques for HLA typing, immunological methods for HLA antibody testing and crossmatching, and analyze, interpret, and report test results.
Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota to support solid organ transplantation is mandatory. We encourage ongoing training and professional development.
Essential qualifications include an Honours degree in a biological subject and registration (or pending application) as a Biomedical Scientist or Clinical Scientist with the Health & Care Professions Council.
