Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH UK is seeking a Process Engineer to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of our Animal Health manufacturing facility in the UK. You will work with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to improve equipment performance and deliver engineering projects.

The role is fixed-term until 31 December 2027, requires a degree in engineering, GMP knowledge, and experience in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in process, chemical, mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (GMP/GxP).
• Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting or reliability improvements.
• Experience delivering engineering or capital projects within scope, budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing plant and equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve process-related issues.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
• Lead projects, equipment installations and upgrades with stakeholders.
• Support safe and compliant operations through risk assessments and audits.
• Provide technical expertise to Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, engineering standards and documentation.
• Train operators and technicians on equipment operation and GMP requirements.
