Job summary

Morson Group is seeking an experienced BIM Technician to join the Manchester team. You will produce data-rich Revit models and 2D drawings, manage MEP project models, and coordinate services with clash detection across multidisciplinary teams.

As part of the BIM team, you will mentor juniors, use Dalux for CDE workflows, and contribute to model reviews and documentation control. The role offers a structured, office-based environment with flexible patterns.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience working as a BIM Technician.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, ideally with extensive MEP experience.
• Confident using Navisworks and Dalux.
• Understanding of clash detection, model coordination and CDE workflows.
• Experience managing modelling responsibilities independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to support and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage MEP project models, views, sheets, tags and model health.
• Coordinate building services using clash detection reports and resolve issues with multidisciplinary teams.
• Review and integrate external models, producing change review documentation.
• Participate in model reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support junior team members through training and mentoring.
• Use automation tools to improve project workflows.
• Support project teams with CDE systems, particularly Dalux.
• Maintain accurate information management and follow document control procedures.

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced BIM Technician to join its growing team at its Sale head office.

You will be responsible for producing data-rich 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit, supporting the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects. Working closely with the BIM Manager, engineers and designers, you will ensure models meet technical standards, project requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality Revit models and 2D engineering drawings, taking ownership of allocated modelling tasks.
• Set up and manage MEP project models, views, sheets, tags and overall model health.
• Coordinate building services using clash detection reports and resolve issues within multidisciplinary teams.
• Review and integrate external models, producing change review documentation where required.
• Participate in internal and external model reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Support junior team members through training, guidance and mentoring.
• Use automation tools, including DiRoots, to improve project workflows.
• Support project teams with Common Data Environment (CDE) systems, particularly Dalux.
• Maintain accurate information management and follow document control procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

• 5 years' experience working as a BIM Technician.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, ideally with extensive MEP experience.
• Confident using Navisworks and Dalux.

Software Knowledge

Essential: Autodesk Revit, Adobe Acrobat DC.

Desirable: Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Dalux Box Pro and Prevu3D.
