Job summary

Alternative Heat Ltd is seeking a BIM Technician to join the Head Office team in Banbridge. The role focuses on developing accurate 3D Revit MEP models and supporting BIM delivery across design and construction processes.

You will work with BIM Coordinators to perform model coordination, clash detection, and produce detailed fabrication and installation drawings, while advancing ISO 19650 compliant practices within a leading offsite construction specialist in the UK & Ireland.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and maintaining 3D Revit MEP models.
• Ability to support BIM coordinators with model coordination and clash detection using Revizto.
• Proficiency in producing clear 2D drawings and fabrication/installation drawing packs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining 3D Revit MEP models for mechanical and electrical services.
• Support model coordination and clash detection using Revizto.
• Update models to reflect design changes and maintain CDE document control.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and site teams to ensure up-to-date construction information.
• Receive ongoing training in Revit, Revizto and BIM processes, including ISO 19650 standards.

Role Overview:

We are looking to appoint a BIM Technician to support the wider BIM and Design teams in developing accurate, coordinated, and information-rich 3D models that facilitate design, offsite manufacture, and onsite installation. This entry-to-intermediate role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital design, prefabrication, and BIM delivery within one of the UK and Ireland’s leading offsite construction specialists.

What You'll be Doing

Responsibilities include updating models to reflect design changes, producing accurate 2D drawings and fabrication and installation drawing packs, and maintaining document control within the Common Data Environment (CDE). The role also involves working closely with engineers, project managers, fabrication and site teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date construction information is available. Ongoing training will be provided in Revit, Revizto and BIM processes, including ISO 19650 standards, with opportunities to contribute to improving modelling standards and team efficiency.
