Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a BIM / Revit MEP Technician in Birmingham to join a growing engineering team. You will produce accurate BIM models and technical drawings across healthcare, education, commercial sectors, coordinating with engineers and architects to deliver integrated designs.

The role covers early design through detailed delivery, with emphasis on clash detection, project BIM standards, and professional development.

Qualifications

Practical experience of Revit and BIM within an MEP environment.
Experience producing MEP models and technical drawings.
Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services.
Experience in multidisciplinary design environments.
Strong attention to detail and organised work approach.
Ability to turn technical information into accurate models.
Good communication and collaborative approach.
Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM coordination or clash detection is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Producing and developing MEP models using Revit.
Creating detailed technical drawings and documentation.
Supporting the delivery of coordinated BIM projects.
Working with mechanical and electrical engineers to develop design information.
Coordinating building services with architectural and structural elements.
Identifying and resolving clashes and modelling issues.
Working to project BIM standards, procedures and deadlines.
Contributing to development and improvement of BIM processes.
Supporting the wider project team through design development and technical delivery.
