Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior BIM Lead to manage a team of BIM Coordinators and Technicians, delivering MEP coordination on a major data centre project in Blyth, UK.

You'll drive BIM delivery across the project, ensuring adherence to the BIM Execution Plan, resolve multidisciplinary clashes, and guide junior staff while advancing digital workflows and innovative processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience on large-scale projects.
• Strong Revit experience with an MEP bias.
• Experience managing or mentoring BIM teams.
• Excellent understanding of multidisciplinary coordination.
• Navisworks experience is highly desirable.
• AutoCAD knowledge would be beneficial.

Job description

This is a senior position offering £75,000-£80,000 per annum, with responsibility for managing a team of BIM Coordinators and Technicians while overseeing the successful delivery of MEP requirements across the project.

The Role

You'll lead BIM delivery across a technically complex data centre development, working closely with the site team, subcontractors and client to ensure established procedures and the BIM Execution Plan are followed.

A key part of the position will involve coordinating complex mechanical and electrical installations, working alongside package managers and site engineers to identify and resolve clashes between disciplines.

You'll also provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to research and development around emerging technologies and improved digital processes.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant degree in engineering or a related discipline
• Strong organisation, communication and time-management skillsPrevious exposure to data centres, mission-critical facilities or similarly complex Building Services projects would be particularly relevant.
